Privacy policy

This policy explains how ASAP Rigging (ABN 53 846 076 199, "we", "us") handles personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), whether or not we are required to.

What we collect

• Enquiries and quotes: your name, company, email address, phone number, the site address and the details and files you send us about the job.
• Customers: the information needed to quote, schedule, complete and invoice the work, including site contacts and payment details you give us.
• Website: our web server records standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, schedule and carry out work, issue invoices, meet our legal obligations (including tax, work health and safety and record-keeping requirements) and communicate with you about jobs. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

Only where needed to do the work or as required by law: for example, crane and hire companies engaged on your job, our accountant and bookkeeper, our insurer in the event of a claim, and government bodies where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

How we store it

Quote requests, job records and receipts are stored in our own business systems on servers located in Australia and protected by access controls and encryption in transit. Email is hosted on our own mail server. We keep business records for at least the periods required by Australian tax law (generally five years) and delete or de-identify information we no longer need.

Access and correction

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email privacy@asaprigging.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us at the address above first. If we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
